Wilson Street, New Haven

Build V is located on Wilson Street in New Haven and was created in partnership with the Castro family. Members of the Madison Cares Board of Directors gathered with the family to celebrate the home’s dedication, marking an important milestone for the organization.

Madison Cares’ first environmentally focused “green” build was dedicated on May 16, 2009, following months of work on the Wilson Street site. Photos on the page show the property in fall 2008 and just before the dedication the following spring, highlighting the transformation from worksite to completed home.

Volunteers and build partners

Construction manager Adam Blasavage is shown on site talking with volunteers, underscoring the hands‑on leadership behind Build V. High school students Bill Reynolds, Jake Ryan, and Matt Zotto, all juniors at Daniel Hand High School, contributed a Saturday of labor, demonstrating strong youth involvement in the project.
