    Over 200 people joined us on November 2 for this special occasion to celebrate the families and volunteers whose lives have been touched by Madison Cares/Habitat for Humanity. This year’s event was held at the lovely Saybrook Point Inn and Spa. The festive decorations by Lisa Leonardi, The Room Doctor, made the dining room sparkle.

    The evening program included a multimedia presentation honoring the families and volunteers that have made nine Habitat homes possible since the organization was founded in 2003. We are thrilled to announce that the evening raised over $32,000 toward House #10.

    The highlight of the evening was the presentation of The Caring Award (see photos) to three individuals who have made lasting and ongoing contributions to Madison Cares’ mission during the last decade. Finally, WTNH Anchor Ann Nyberg honored and interviewed Shoreline organizations as they are entered into The Madison Cares Hall of Fame (click for photos) for their consistent financial and volunteer support over the years.

    All proceeds from the Celebration will go towards the Madison Cares tenth Habitat for Humanity house.
