70 Woolsey Street in New Haven was Raise the Roof’s eighteenth sponsored Habitat build and the home that John and Stephanie Briones built, purchased, and call home with their children, John Jr. and Sophia. The Raise the Roof community was honored to partner with Stephanie and John and help to build.

Pilgrim Fellowship—a non-denominational community service group for grades 9 through 12 sponsored by First Congregational Church of Guilford—gave their April school break to build. Tuesday through Saturday, PF teams helped to build at Woolsey Street, Raise the Roof’s sponsored build, and Rosette Street, another Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven house. The group also shared a generous gift of funds raised that will help to provide opportunity for future Habitat partner families to build.

The Raise the Roof board builds together in many ways. On this board build day, the work was painting and caulking and helping future homeowner John Briones build his family’s house.
The hiking group Intrepids partnered with future homeowner Stephanie for a day of teamwork and accomplishment at 70 Woolsey Street.
The Daniel Hand Habitat Club nailed it again on another day of building!
